Sara (she/her/hers) is the Marketing Coordinator at Azavea.
After earning degrees in Environmental Analysis and Policy as well as Public Relations from Boston University, Sara maintains a strong focus on mission-driven marketing and communications. She is dedicated to furthering progress, especially in the environmental space, by increasing accessibility to engaging content surrounding critical issues.
Prior to her time at Azavea, Sara contributed to the Biden/Harris advertising campaign during the 2020 presidential election cycle and spent two years at the helm of the marketing effort at a compost company. She also spent time leading groups of young environmentalists at nature camp in Delaware, and completed a variety of internships including a brief stint with the Office of Public Affairs at the EPA.
In her free time, Sara enjoys navigating to new city parks on her bike, brainstorming recipes that will use all of the produce in this week’s CSA basket, and attempting to upcycle old fabric into a new wardrobe.
