Matt is a Software Engineer on the Climate Applications Team at Azavea.

Matt graduated from the University of Washington in 2015 with a degree in Applied and Computational Math Sciences. Since graduating, Matt has worked as a full-stack web engineer on various projects related to neuroimaging and neuroinformatics. During the pandemic he realized his passion for nature and began pursuing a graduate degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science at the University of Illinois. He has created smartphone apps for making ecological observations and monitoring the health of field crops.

Matt is currently living in Chicago. He enjoys exploring the city by bike, going to live music shows, and utilizing the public library.
