Jillian Long is a Business Development Associate at Azavea.

Prior to entering the geospatial world, Jill worked for many years in the service industry, taught English abroad and had various travels and side jobs along the way. Since obtaining her master’s degree in GIS, she has worked for the City of Philadelphia – most notably for Philadelphia City Council where she made custom dashboards for City Council members, mapped and analyzed home values within and just outside of top-rated Elementary school catchments, and did a retroactive analysis on the Neighborhood Transformation Initiative – a Philadelphia revitalization plan from the early 2000s. At Azavea, she started on the Cicero team and now works in business development – building partnerships and spreading the gospel of Azavea.

When she isn’t working, you can find her thinking up a new house project, making a tasty cocktail, or planning her next getaway.
