Catherine is the User Experience Team Lead at Azavea.

Catherine has worked as a design strategist and researcher across multiple disciplines for the past 9 years. She leverages a human-centered approach to understand where products can better serve those who interact with them. She began her career at an educational start-up supporting their service design needs, then moved into consulting where she had the chance to work with a wide range of clients across sectors and industries. She is passionate about the role design can play in shaping better futures. 

She specializes in leveraging qualitative research and participatory design to inform strategic choices.

Outside of work, Catherine loves biking, making ceramics, propagating plants, and spending time with her partner Ricky and their cat Napster.
