Adeel Hassan is a Machine Learning Engineer on the Geospatial Technology and Research Team.

Adeel joined Azavea after completing his MS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst on the Fulbright scholarship. During his MS, he interned at Azavea as an Open Source Fellow, doing research at the intersection of deep learning and remote sensing. Prior to that, he worked as a data scientist on the Artificial Intelligence Team at Afiniti.

Adeel is passionate about machine learning, data visualization, mathematics, and programming. Outside of work, he enjoys playing chess and reading about history.
